    Last Joke Standing

    Are you tired?

Do you have the feeling that you have seen them all? All the jokes that are floating around?

Isn't it curious that virus transformed the world into a giant joke factory?

In the last few weeks we were producing and sharing jokes furiously. "We shake it off with a good joke" - said someone in the office on the other day. What do we try to shake off? The Virus? I don't think so. It is what the Virus makes us feel.

We use jokes as an antidote against our feelings.

Happy is the opposite of sad. Jokes makes us happy. Kind of. Maybe we are using them against being sad.

    But why sad?

Think about it. Think about all the things that we all have lost in the last few weeks. It is quite a list.

When we loose things that are important to us, we mourn. Sadness is part of mourning. Mourning is a natural process. It helps us, it heals us. We are talking about a good kind of sadness here.

So when the antidote losses it's power, when the last joke standing isn't funny any more and what you actually feel is a bit of sadness, don't be afraid.

It is OK to be sad.
