What Do We Do?

We view psychoanalysis as a dynamic, self-reflective entity that engages with its environment and continuously evolves. We contribute to this process by establishing a distinctive space for contemporary thinkers and clinicians that brings together different generations and fosters collaboration on innovative ideas free from institutional constraints. We call it the Free Zone.

Our initiatives include reMIND, The Living Theory Conference, the inSIGHT project with My Freud and My Meltzer, the Cornerstone Series, the Internal Habitats, and the Wild Thoughts Blog.

The list of collaborators includes Alberto Pieczanski, Anne Alvarez, Antonio Peréz-Sánchez, Avner Bergstein, Cláudio Laks Eizrik, Dany Nobus, Dominique Scarfone, Fernando Orduz, Franco de Masi, Howard Levine, Johnatan Sklar, Joshua Durban, Judit Mészáros, Judy K. Eekhoff, Lesley Caldwell, Marília Aisenstein, Ofra Eshel, Riccardo Lombardi, Robert Caper, Robert Waska, Rosine Jozef Perelberg, Serge Frisch, Vaia Tsolas, Virginia Ungar.

reMIND - "This reminds me a patient of mine."

reMIND is a group focused on clinical case studies. This group distinguishes itself through the rotating discussants each year, offering diverse perspectives and approaches. Furthermore, the supportive environment of the Free Zone allows participants to openly challenge each other, cultivating a space for meaningful discussion, interaction, and learning.

This year the discussants are, Jonathan Sklar, Christine Anzieu-Premmereur and, Serge Frisch.

THE LIVING THEORY CONFERENCE

The yearly Living Theory Conference is designed to provide ample space for in-depth discussions of issues shaping the present and future of psychoanalysis.

This year's conference title is Shifting Frontiers in Psychoanalysis: André Green’s London Report Fifty Years On. Howard Levine, Judy K. Eekhoff, Rodrigo Barahona, and Ruggero Levy are the invited speakers.

In this new project, we examine how contemporary psychoanalysts integrate seminal ideas proposed by others into their own personal theory and technique. For the first edition of inSIGHT  the invited speakers are Howard Levine and João Sousa Monteiro.

CORNERSTONES SERIES

The Cornerstones are an online seminar series based on the contributions of leading international figures in contemporary psychoanalysis. It aims to enrich the theoretical and clinical understanding of our work with patients.

CORNERSTONES 2025 is coming soon.
